Forza Capital is collaborating with Madigan Capital, among the best real estate backed debt managers in Australia, to offer the Forza Real Estate Debt Fund (“Fund”).
Madigan is a specialist non-bank real estate lender that currently manages ~$1.5 billion of commercial real estate debt exclusively for institutional investors. Established in 2016 by Michael Wood, Madigan has curated an outstanding management team complemented by their Chairman, Barry Brakey, Managing Partner of CC Real and the former Head of Property for Australia’s sovereign wealth investment vehicle – the Future Fund.
The Fund is presently the only mechanism by which private investors can gain exposure to Madigan’s institutional grade debt opportunities (“Loans”). Our Fund will invest exclusively into the Madigan Partners Real Estate Debt Fund (“MPRED”) and will be treated as an institutional investor by Madigan, replicating the service delivery model offered to their other institutional clients and investors.
The open-ended Fund will provide access to research led, well underwritten, primarily senior ranking debt investments secured against Australian real estate assets.
It is important to appreciate that this Fund is not solely attempting to generate the highest possible return from debt, an approach taken by many which has seen pseudo equity risk taken in debt instruments. Our Fund will unashamedly have a quality bias, seeking to lend to the highest quality sponsors and projects and obtain a return that is asymmetrical based on the risk/reward dynamics of each individual transaction.
Between the Forza and Madigan executive teams, the average real estate industry tenure is 26 years – a depth of networks and experience few other teams can match.
